# GEMPAD EXPLOIT UPDATE

For those of you coming to this page and unaware of the background, the Dub Token was one of 27 projects affected by the GemPad Timelock Contract exploit. To summarize on behalf of what it means for the Dub Token itself: our token and token contract are completely safe and not affected. The issue that led to the sudden drop in price back in December of 2024 had to due with the exploiter essentially increasing the circulating supply of DUB from 4% to roughly 31.2% after the massive unlock occured and subsequent sell-off. 

The GemPad team has put together a restitution plan for all projects affected by this exploit, and are currently finalizing their audits for their timelock contracts to resume normal operation.
